I’ve wracked my brain for months with that question!
Then I heard an interview on NPR the other night with the CEO of craigslist… he says they don’t try to make money, they try to do what their customers want. Huh. But they do make money. Sounds like they make a lot of it. He did mention they have 25 employees and one source of revenue is that they charge for certain real estate listings… do what their customers want, what a novel idea.
I don’t wrack my brain on this question anymore. At least not as badly.
